Stratford Athletes Village Project

Bovis Lend Lease joined Activate Your Workplace (AYW) in June 2007 to pilot the programme in the Stratford Athletes Village Project. The plan was to engage the initial management team at site set up stage, so that new team members could be introduced to interventions organised through AYW as part of their induction.

Due to the magnitude of the Athletes Village Project, the Workplace Health Champion’s availability for time spent on AYW was less than originally envisaged. Thus, the programme has been developed with a new focus to include interventions based on social interaction using fun sporting activities. These will include Office Olympics, Indoor Athletics and ‘Score 4 Challenge’.

By engaging the whole team at this early stage, it is hoped that workplace health will become an integral part of the working day.
